OUR BELIEFS

We believe the One and Only Creator has spoken to mankind through his word - the Holy Bible. He revealed himself in the person of Jesus Christ, became the perfect sacrifice to pay the penalty of man’s sin, overcame the power of death and hell and reigns over all as King of Kings and Lord of lords.
-Revelation 5:11-13

Faith

The first step toward God is to have faith that He exists and responds to sincere prayer. (Hebrews 11:6)

Repentance

Repentance is turning away from all sin and turning toward God. In repentance we sincerely acknowledge that we have done wrong toward God and toward people. When we confess this to God, cry out to Him for forgiveness and help, and purpose to turn away from our sin, He in return has promised to forgive and pardon us. (Luke 13:3,5; I John 1:8)

Baptism

The Bible commands everyone who repents to be baptized. The only way New Testament believers were baptized was by immersion in water as the name of the Lord Jesus Christ was spoken over them.  It is an act of faith in the redeeming blood and saving name of Jesus Christ.  In obeying this command, the repentant person’s sins are remitted and they enter a covenant relationship with God. (Acts 2:38 -Colossians 2:12)

holy spirit

To enter God’s Kingdom, Jesus said one must be born of the water and of the Spirit. Being born of the Spirit or filled with the Holy Spirit, is proof of a person’s relationship with God. When one receives the gift of the Holy Ghost, Christ comes to live inside. When this wonderful experience happened to the Jews (Acts 2), the Gentiles (Acts 10) and disciples of John the Baptist (Acts 19), the people spoke in a language they had not previously learned as the Spirit of God enabled them. This phenomenal event creates a new life in the believer and gives them the power to live a holy life.  (John 3:3-5 ; Romans 8:9)

the blessed life

Faith, repentance, baptism, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost comprise the “New Birth” experience. Once a person is born into the Kingdom of God, they should mature and begin to exhibit the qualities of Christ.   It is vitally important that the Christian allows God’s Spirit control of their life, being obedient to the Scripture so that they may be pleasing to God. The hope of an obedient life is eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:11; I Thessalonians 4:14-18)
